In addition to coming typhoon, the most important event in Okinawa ‘obon’ is held from Aug 23 to Aug 25. The construction is suspended during the obon season. So there was no construction of the sea wall nor protest. Even Japan defense bureau can not make the workers work on the sea wall during this season.
