(In front of the Gate)
In front of Kadena Air Base on every Friday, we organize a protest demonstration. Some already had left here to join it, and only 8 people resumed sit-in in front of the Gate today. For 2hours, we made speeches and sang songs in protest demonstration. No vehicle passes through the Gate lately, but about 10 guards from a private security firm daily attend the Gate. The fact that our taxes actually pay the guards infuriates me. Approximately 25 people joined us at the Gate around 11:30am, and we cheered ourselves to brace against the upcoming “D-day” when the construction works resume.
Many people had gone early in the morning to help mayoral election of Naha City, the capital of Okinawa.
