Oct. 10: The Typhoon 25 Gone, and the Sit-In Protest Resumed

(In front of the Gate)
Since the typhoon 25 has gone, the protest activities were resumed, beginning with re-setting the sheets that had been removed before the typhoon attack.
At 9:00am, approximately 20 people started sit-in. By noon, the number of the participants increased to 50 including those who came from the mainland for reinforcement.
Mr. Kitaueda Takeshi, a civil engineer, surmised the future development of the protest as follows: The power bestowed to the newly elected governor, Tamaki Denny, is great. The protest will be turned to the court again, and the landfill works will not be easily resumed. Let us stand firm and continue our fight.
